Using as utility for testing site

AliveProxy allows you to test performance of your web site. You can test it in the LAN or through proxy servers in the Internet.

Test of your site through proxy servers

For testing through the Internet:

  1. Select tab Site test.
  2. Select subtab URLs for test.
  3. Add new record and enter:
    1. URL for test - URL, which you want to test. (For example: http://atomintersoft.com/products/proxy-list/)
    2. Select method of testing (POST or GET)
    3. Enter POST data. For example: "ap=1&port=8080". If you use method GET make the field blank and add the parameters to the "URL for test".
    4. Enter "Key string" - result of testing is successful if this string is found in the server response.
    5. Add description if you want.
    6. Set flag "Use".
    7. Click button "Post changes" on bottom toolbar.
  4. Select proxies, which will be used for testing:
    1. Select tab Proxy list.
    2. Select subtab Proxy list database.
    3. Setup filter of the table for showing only needed proxies.
  5. Return to the subtab "URLs for test" on tab "Site test"
  6. Click button "Creation of tasks" on top toolbar.
  7. Go to subtab "Testing tasks". You will see several created tasks.
  8. Click the button "Resolve all visible tasks" on top toolbar.

Test of your site through LAN

For testing through LAN:

  1. Select tab Site test.
  2. Select subtab Testing tasks.
  3. Add new record and enter:
    1. URL for test - URL, which you want to test. (For example: http://192.168.0.1:8080/products/proxy-list/)
    2. Select method of testing (POST or GET)
    3. Enter POST data. For example: "ap=1&port=8080". If you use method GET make the field blank and add the parameters to the "URL for test".
    4. Enter "Key string" - result of testing is successful if this string is found in the server response.
    5. Set off flag "Done".
  4. Click button "Post changes" on bottom toolbar.
  5. Click button "Make NNNN duplicates" to make NNNN duplicates of the current record. It is necessary to multiply loading your web server.
  6. Click the button "Resolve all visible tasks" on top toolbar.

Results of testing site

After resolving all tasks you can see the following results of testing for every task:

  1. Result - "OK" if tasks have been solved successfully otherwise description of error.
  2. Content of response - usually received html page. To show the page press the button "Viewing of result" on top toolbar.

If you take on the log of resolving task (see: options) you can see additional parameters of the testing:

  1. Time of execution of every task.
  2. Size of received information.
  3. Speed of resolving the task (Speed=Size/Time).
